I frequently meet people who tell me they are dissatisfied with the service they have been receiving from their own accountant and are thinking of changing.
They presume this is a difficult or expensive process, requiring multiple meetings and phone calls and ultimately, they can't be bothered enduring this kind of hassle.
The hardest part of the process is admitting to yourself that you are NOT receiving the service that you or your business requires. There are loads of reasons for this and I'll expand further on this issue in a subsequent post.
Once that decision is made and hopefully you've found an accountant whom you believe will provide that quality service - the work is done.
If you want BNO Chartered Accountants to provide that quality service, we go through a series of steps that we are bound to complete as part of being a chartered accounting firm regulated by Chartered Accountants Ireland:
1. We send a professional clearance letter to your previous accountant, asking whether there is any professional reason we should not accept the appointment.
2. We request copies of previous financial statements, tax returns, trial balances etc...all the information needed for us to begin looking after you.
3. We require copies of some personal documentation like: driver's license, utility bills - again we are bound by Anti-Money Laundering regulations as part of being a firm regulated by Chartered Accountants Ireland.
And that's it.....
Get in touch and we'd be delighted to have an free initial consultation with you.
